Zamboanga Peninsula hosted year 2004 National Population Quiz Show because Sergio Osmeña National High School in Zamboanga del Norte emerged champion in last year's national pop quiz represented by January Faith Santiago, bested 16 other regional representatives during 2003 Population Quiz, held at Marvella Hotel, in Koronadal City, was then coached by Joselito Tizon. Santiago received P10,000 cash prize and a trophy.
